A useful estimate for repeat designs
This planner works with rectangular design bounds on a 22-inch-wide sheet. It estimates columns, rows and the length needed for the quantity you enter. It compares a consistent rotated orientation when requested; it is not an irregular-shape nesting engine.
A design with transparent margins still occupies its bounding rectangle unless you trim those margins. Measure the artwork that will actually be placed, and leave enough room to cut each piece safely.
- Enter printed inches, not the dimensions of a screenshot on your screen.
- Use the same design size for every repeat in this calculation.
- For mixed designs, different sizes or exact placements, review the real builder before payment.
Why cutting space changes the result
A 22-inch-wide sheet reserves a quarter-inch margin on each side, leaving 21.5 inches for designs and spaces. Four 5-inch-wide designs use 20 inches; three quarter-inch spaces bring the total to 20.75 inches. A fifth design would not fit.
The planner includes the builder’s quarter-inch outside margins and the cutting space you enter between rectangles. It rounds the required sheet length up to a whole inch. Check cutlines, finishing needs and the actual arrangement in the production preview before ordering.
Choose DTF or UV DTF before ordering
DTF transfers are applied to suitable fabric with a heat press. UV DTF transfers are applied to smooth hard surfaces without a heat press. A gang sheet order supplies printed transfer film, not a finished shirt, cup or bottle.
The live editor calculates available sheet options and current pricing. If you select pre-cut where offered, review its piece count and surcharge in the cart. The layout estimate is not a checkout quote.
| Project | Choose | Review in the builder |
|---|---|---|
| Shirt logos or garment designs | DTF gang sheet | Printed design sizes, spacing and heat-press workflow |
| Cup logos or hard-surface designs | UV DTF gang sheet | Surface fit, spacing and the number of pieces |
| One design at one size | Individual transfers | Quantity and any pre-cut option |
Common questions
Does the calculator submit my layout?
No. Open the builder and review your actual designs, sizes and arrangement. Only the design you approve in the order editor is submitted.
Will rotating the design always save money?
No. Rotation can change grid capacity, but available sheet lengths and current pricing determine the actual order total.
