Write a design list first
For each design, record its visible width, proportional height and required number of copies. A sheet quantity is different from the number of designs on that sheet. If your layout contains six logos and you order two sheets, check that twelve logos is what you need.
Our standard DTF sheets are 22 inches wide, with several lengths available. Use the current editor for the available sheet options and custom-length rules.
Leave room to separate the designs
The online layout currently reserves 0.25 inches around the sheet and between designs. Keep a similar clear separation when planning your own layout. Do not connect separate logos with a background rectangle if you expect to cut them apart.
| Illustrative 22 × 12 in sheet | Planning calculation |
|---|---|
| Usable area after 0.25 in outer margins | 21.5 × 11.5 in |
| Six 3 in squares across | 18 in artwork + 1.25 in gaps |
| Three rows of 3 in squares | 9 in artwork + 0.5 in gaps |
| Simple unrotated grid | 18 pieces before any layout changes |
Treat the calculator as a plan
The example is a simple grid, not a guaranteed count for every file. Different proportions, rotation, mixed artwork and the actual sheet selection change the result. Check the arranged preview and each design quantity before adding the sheet to your cart.
- Use transparent artwork when you do not want a background.
- Check small lettering at its finished dimensions.
- Review standard film versus optional pre-cut pieces.
- Keep each upload within the current 20 MB and 40 megapixel image limits.
Common questions
Does gang sheet quantity mean transfer quantity?
No. It means copies of the complete sheet. Count the designs on a sheet, then multiply by the sheet quantity.
Can I use this layout for UV DTF?
The planning ideas are similar, but choose the UV DTF gang sheet product for hard surfaces. DTF sheets are garment transfers and need a heat press.
